Welcome to Treasure Isle Havana Silk Dogs.  We are located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay.  We overlook the island where, legend says, Blackbeard hid and watched while waiting for ships to enter the bay.  He would then sail out to ambush them.  It is this history and connection to the pirates that sailed the Caribbean seas that led us to our kennel name.  

 We found this breed when we weren’t looking; our daughter was looking.  We found the HSDAA when going to the 2015 National Specialty Show in Virginia Beach.  We entered our Chewy (GCH By The Bay Chewbacca @ Treasure Isle) and the rest is history.  We were hooked.  The breed is fabulous.  Seeing them in a group proves it.  The club members are warm and inviting and dedicated to the health and conformation of this breed.  

A year later we got our next two Silks.  It is hard to have just one.  Our girl, Misty (CH Dade Misty Inis Treasure Isle) won Best In Show Senior Puppy at the I.C.E. Show in Lakeland FL in April 2017.  We came home with many ribbons and great evaluations.  Our boy, Oliver, is a companion dog.  He is a pistol and a clown and keeps us laughing.   Our family has grown.  We now have added Maille  (CH Treasure Isle Grace O’Maille) and our newest pup is Treasure Isle’s Serranilla Banks.  

Our Goal as breeders is to produce healthy, happy, well adjusted family members with amazing temperaments.   We are members of the Avidog breeders group.  This group is committed to the continued improvement of raising amazing litters by starting with the care of the stud dog and the dam.  It is a science-based support community for breeders and puppy owners.
